Touch Guitars® goes headless @ Guitar Summit ’24
As some of you might have noticed we just started to build our first models with headless hardware an multiscale fretboard. We build a lot of prototypes and it turned out that the S8 design and the T8 design with their slightly offset bodies are perfect for headless hardware no matter if with or without multiscale fretboards. First we thought about a separate headless model but since both models are so cool we decided to add it as an option for the T8 and S8 and call it T8h and S8h.
This S8h is really unique. It features a neck-thru construction for endless sustain. This is the first time we made it and it will also be added to the list of options, soon. The purple heart fretboard is extended to the bridge to kind of support the neck-thru look and also functions as a ramp for regular bass playing. The Truss rod is hidden behind a magnetic cover. Regarding electronics it features the Darkglass tone capsule and a 5-way switch with a classic wiring for three pickups. The pickups are Cycfi Spectra pickups. Sound samples will follow but we can already tease that the middle pickup sound is just amazing.
